Morning Announcements – 10/6/16

Good Morning Falcons!

Today is Thursday, October 6.

It is time for our middle school yearbook cover contest! All middle school students are eligible to enter a design for the cover of this year’s yearbook. Please stop in the library to see Ms. Ferguson for design paper and guidelines. All designs are due back by Oct. 14th.

Parent Teacher Conferences are a couple of weeks away!  If your parents haven’t made an appointment yet, please ask them to do so soon!  Why, you ask?  The first hour class that has the most parents come to conferences will receive doughnuts as a reward!

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, this month go out of your way to talk to someone you’ve never talked to before, or make a difference for someone you know may be carrying a lot in their own invisible backpack!  #choosekindness

The sign-up sheet for boys basketball is on the counter in the office.  Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade boys interested in trying out for basketball should sign up and take a packet which includes tryout information and required paperwork.  Boys basketball tryouts begin Oct. 17.  See Coach Berry if you have any questions.

Reminder to all 7th and 8th grade band members. The homecoming parade is tonight. Be sure to take your instrument home on and be at the high school by 5:30.

Reminder that we are running a 2:20 bell schedule for our assembly this afternoon.

Please stand and recite with me the Pledge of Allegiance.
