Morning Announcements – 10/5/16

Good Morning Falcons!

Today is Wednesday October 5.

It is time for our middle school yearbook cover contest! All middle school students are eligible to enter a design for the cover of this year’s yearbook. Please stop in the library to see Ms. Ferguson for design paper and guidelines. All designs are due back by Oct. 14th.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, this month go out of your way to talk to someone you’ve never talked to before, or make a difference for someone you know may be carrying a lot in their own invisible backpack!  #choosekindness

Reminder:  Geography Club will meet tomorrow morning at 7:30 AM in Mrs. Ricks’ room.

The sign-up sheet for boys basketball is on the counter in the office.  Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grade boys interested in trying out for basketball should sign up and take a packet which includes tryout information and required paperwork.  Boys basketball tryouts begin Oct. 17.  See Coach Berry if you have any questions.

This Friday is the Homecoming Football game and that means Grill on the Hill. The GCMS PTA is hosting a tailgate party here at the GCMS Middle School. Tickets are $10 each and include hot dog, chips, drink, and admission to the football game. If 100 students sign up, one lucky student will have his or her name drawn to throw a pie in the face of Mr. Bielfeldt. Today is the last day you can sign up!

Reminder to all 7th and 8th grade band members. The homecoming parade is Thursday, October 6. Be sure to take your instrument home on Thursday and be at the high school by 5:30.

Please stand and recite with me the Pledge of Allegiance.
