Dear Middle School Parent,
Our annual Middle School Parent Night will be held on Tuesday, September 17, from 5:30 to 6:15 PM. The purpose of this evening is to introduce ourselves to you and place a face with the name. Please report to the gym for the beginning of the evening.
We will begin the evening promptly at 5:30 p.m. with introductions of staff members and a brief discussion of Common Core, Lumen, School Finance, and building expectations. Following the whole group information session parents will be divided by grade level to hear more information about team activities, rules, and classes.
We welcome all questions and concerns, but respectfully ask that this night be used as an introduction and sharing time between staff and parents, and not individual parent teacher conferences. If you have specific questions about your student please arrange for a meeting via email or phone call. Your support and involvement is essential to your student’s success!
Please feel free to bring your middle school student to the Parent Night with you. If you choose to bring your middle school student, they will be expected to attend the sessions with you. For those of you with small children, several middle school student council members have volunteered to baby-sit in one of our classrooms during the evening.
We hope to see you all on Tuesday, September 17th!
Sincerely,
Jeremy Darnell and the Staff of GCMS
Principal
