This week we have a wonderful problem to manage!!! Our 8th Grade Girls basketball team is in the midst of a great run and because of this we have some significant overlap between Girls Basketball and Girls Volleyball seasons. In an effort to respect the current season and prepare for the upcoming season here is the plan of attack.
For your information the Volleyball season is allowed to start any time after December 1st. We have delayed this start in an effort to try and avoid overburden on our young people.
Volleyball Tryouts:
December 10th, 6:30 – 7:45 am – GCMS Middle School Gym
December 11th, 6:30 – 7:45 am – GCMS Middle School Gym
December 12th, 3:30 – 5:30 pm – GCMS Middle School Gym
Girls Basketball Schedule:
December 10th, Sectional Game @ Tuscola 6:30pm
December 11th, 3:30 – 5:30 pm – Elementary School Gym
December 12th, 5:30 – 7:30 pm – GCMS Middle School Gym
Saturday, December 13th and beyond:
TBD – Pending Wednesday Basketball Results
Girls who participate in both basketball, and want to try out for volleyball, must participate in both activities on Thursday and Friday. Girls who are on basketball, should not participate on Wednesday the 10th in order to maintain focus and energy on their post season game that evening.
