1. Pledge of Allegiance…
2. Don’t forget to enter the Yearbook cover contest! All middle school students are eligible to enter. Pick up your packet from Mrs. Ferguson in the library. All cover designs are due on Oct. 17th.
3. “Attention 6th through 8th grade boys interested in trying out for basketball- signups are now available in the office. If you are interested, you need to sign up and take an informational packet. All necessary paperwork must be turned into the office by Mon. Oct. 20 for you to participate in tryouts. See Coach Berry if you have any questions.”
4. The Junior American Citizens Contest (JAC) is now available for participation. The theme this year is “Focus on the Future.” There are two categories, an art contest and a creative expression contest. If you are interested, please come by office to pick up guideline information, or see Mrs. Pondel for information, poster board, or paper for the stamp. Contest deadline is Wednesday, December 10th. Please turn in all entries to Mrs. Pondel. We had many winners from last year that placed first in nationals! This contest is open to all middle school students.
5. Time is running out to order your Red Crush t-shirt. Orders need to be turned in to the office by this Friday, October 17. Order forms can be found in the office and on bulletin boards located around the school. If you have any questions please see Mr. Hoogstraat.
6. Student Council members your next meeting will be this Wednesday, October 15 at 7:30 am in Mr. Hoogstraat’s room.
7. Our first Spirit Day will be next Thursday, October 23. The theme is “Think Pink” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Wear something pink to honor those who have battled breast cancer.
8. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is sponsoring “Bring Your Bible to School Day” this Thursday, October 16.
