GCMS HIGH SCHOOL RECEIVES GRANT FUNDING TO IMPLEMENT THE PRESIDENTIAL YOUTH FITNESS PROGRAM

GCMS High School received a grant in resources to implement the Presidential Youth Fitness Program. Provided by the National Foundation on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition, this is the fourth round of funding to support the Presidential Youth Fitness Program in schools and districts across the country.

The Presidential Youth Fitness Program is the national fitness assessment and education program designed to empower students to adopt an active lifestyle. Free resources are available to help teachers effectively implement the program. In addition to free resources, there are supplemental materials, such as software and recognition items, that can be purchased to enhance the program experience for both physical educators and their students.  Through the generous support of the General Mills Foundation, these materials are available to support quality physical education nationwide.
