Did you know that right now almost a billion people in the world do not have access to clean, safe water? That is one billion people who are at risk of deadly disease because they have no place to get clean water to drink, bathe, and do their dishes or laundry. That is why the History Club is fundraising to build a well in rural Africa. With you help GCMS can provide clean water to more than 250 people for 20 years. The History Club will be hosting a penny war all next week between the classes. There will also be a water walk Thursday, May 1st after school. A $5.00 donation is encouraged. All proceeds will go to the nonprofit organization Water to Thrive.
Happy Birthday to Emily Young
