From the Gibson City Chamber of Commerce:
The weather forecast calls for chilly temperatures and 100% chance of rain in the forecast for tomorrow.
So, we have regretfully cancelled the Octoberfest celebration that was scheduled downtown for the children for tomorrow night.
Please pass the word to the public, but we do want to encourage children and their families to join us at Santa’s Village
from 4-6PM before the parade where we will have even more candy to share with them than originally planned! J
If any businesses still want to be open and/or offer candy for trick-or-treaters, you will want to be sure that is published/advertised in the news.
We have notified the schools, WGCY & the Gibson Courier of this cancellation.
