Juniors – The last day to sign up for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is September 23. A check for $15 must be submitted to the Guidance Office to reserve a seat. This test is required for some local employers, including State Farm, to receive employee family scholarships.

College/Career Reps Visiting GCMS
College/Career Admission Representatives from Eureka, Illinois Wesleyan, the US Marines and the US Army will be visiting GCMS between September 19 – 21. Interested students should sign up outside of the Guidance Office.

Freshman Parent Night
Freshmen Parent Night is tomorrow! We hope to see many of you there. Freshmen students are welcome to attend with their parents. There is also a meeting for first semester Drivers Ed students and parents at 7:00 tomorrow night (both freshmen and sophomore students).
Lunch Menu Change

Elementary School Parent Orientation
Attention parents of GCMS Elementary students! We will have parent orientation on Wednesday August 24. Grades 1-3 will be from 5:15-6:00 pm and grades 4-5 will be 6:05-6:50. We hope to see you there.
Middle School Cheer Tryouts
Middle School Cheer Tryouts are next week! August 8th-11th, 11am-1pm in the Middle School gym. Bring all necessary paperwork to the clinics, which are Monday-Wednesday, and the official tryout is Thursday starting at 11am.
