Curriculum Office

The purpose of this website is to share information about the various tools, links, resources and standards that are available in order to properly create, align and teach the GCMS curriculum.

The GCMS curriculum is matched to the Illinois State Learning Standards. We recently completed the process of integrating GCMS curriculum objectives into the new Common Core Standards.  Curriculum studies occur in a seven year rotation for each subject area. Curriculum mapping guides have been created by the teachers for each subject at each grade level. This process allows for continuous revisions and updates. Curriculum guides assure that student learning will be articulated across the grade levels, and learning standards will be consistent for each student.
