GCMS Supporters,

We couldn’t be more excited to be heading to the State Championship this Friday in Dekalb, Illinois. Please see below for information and links to everything you need to know about the game. IHSA has very strict regulations that must be adhered to by all participants, fans, teams, and staff. Thanks for all your continued support.

GAME Time: 1:00 p.m.

• Our team will not enter the field until 12:30, all other warm ups are offsite.

Game Location: Huskie Stadium, Northern Illinois University

• View Directions
• Parking is $10.00 for passenger vehicles.
• We will be seated on the West Main Stands.

Field Access:

• It is important to know that the field is only accessible to people with credentials. NO ONE is allowed on the field after the game.

Student Support Groups:

• Our Band is allowed exactly 6 minutes for performance on the field at half time.
• Our Cheer Squad is allowed on the field accompanied by their sponsor.
• All other fans must be in the designated seating areas.

Fan Expectations:

• Sportsmanship should be displayed at all times.
• IHSA sponsored events are alcohol free zones and this includes all connecting property, parking lots, and other event venue property. Violators of this expectations could be removed from property.
• Tickets can be purchased at GCMS High School from 5-8 p.m. Monday or Tuesday, or on site. All seats are general admission.

The Falcons are hitting the road for round 2 of the IHSA playoffs.  This Saturday, November 4 the Falcons will travel to West Carroll High School in Savanna IL.  Kickoff will be at 2pm.

All GCMS students age K-8 are invited to participate in a fun-filled cheer clinic! You will gain confidence, learn cheers, fun moves, and how to work as a team during clinic. You will also get to perform with the High School Cheer Team at the home football game September 22, 2017 vs. Eureka!

Date: September 19-21
Time: 3-5 Time: 5:30-6:30 p.m.

Place: GCMS High School

Cost of Camp: $25.00 includes t-shirt

Homecoming 2017 Shirts Order Form

Homecoming 2017 is in the works for the week of September 25th-30th. The Mighty Falcons play Tremont Turks and it’s up to us to cheer them on to victory. Friday, September 30th is Falcon Spirit Day throughout the GCMS district. The GCMS HS Student Council is selling shirts to show our support for a Falcon victory.  The t-shirts are black and cost $10 each or $12 for extended sizes (2x and 3X). This order form must accompany payment and be back to your child’s teacher by Friday, Sept. 15th. All checks should be payable to GCMS Student Council.

The first game of the 2017 GCMS Football season is this Friday!  We hope to see a big crowd, including many students.  If you are a planning on attending the game, please keep the following expectations in mind.

PLEASE

• Do not bring balls into the game (footballs, basketballs, nerf, etc.) They will be confiscated by supervisors if brought in.
• Do not throw any objects (kids will use bottles or other objects in place of footballs and throw them around). These can be even more dangerous than footballs.
• Do not chase each other or get physical with each other (tag and tackling get out of control around other spectators) There should be no reason to be running.
• STAY OFF of the tennis courts and from behind the big red shed. (we constantly have to chase kids off of the courts and from sitting on the tennis court nets)
• Stay away from the visitors seating/standing area (kids will walk the LOOP around the football field and track) Nothing good can come from our kids in the visitors area.
• Stay off of the softball bleachers
